      Tata Motors reports April 2024 sales

      Mumbai- Tata Motors Limited., a commercial vehicle manufacturer, announced its April 2024 sales reported 12% increase in domestic sales compared to the same period in 2023, reaching a total of 76,399 units.

      Compared to April 2023, April 2024 growth in commercial vehicle (CV) category. HCV Trucks increased by 13% to 7,875 units, ILMCV Trucks an 101% growth to 4,316 units, Passenger Carriers by 118% to 4,502 units, and Small Commercial Vehicles (SCV) cargo and pickup increased by 15% to 11,823 units. Domestic CV sales increased by 33% to 28,516 units, while the International Business (IB) segment increased by 4% to 1,022 units. Consequently, total CV sales surged by 31% to 29,538 units.

      In passenger vehicle segment compared to the same period in 2023. Total domestic sales, including EVs, marginally by 2% to 47,883 units. International Business (IB) sales remained steady at 100 units. Overall, passenger vehicle sales, including both domestic and international markets and EVs, increased by 2% to 47,983 units. However, EV sales slight drop of 2%, totalling 6,364 units compared to April 2023's 6,516 units.
