Expanding its electric vehicle charging network by 250 stations to 790 across 50 cities, in partnership with Delta Electronics and Thunderplus Solutions.

Mumbai- Tata Motors Limited., a commercial vehicle manufacturer, today announced that it is collaborating with Delta Electronics India Private Limited., and Thunderplus Solutions Pvt Ltd., to enhance for its electric commercial vehicle charging network. We'll install 250 new fast-charging stations in over 50 cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Kochi. This expansion will boost our network from 540 to 790 charging points.
E-commerce, parcel, and courier services are turning to commercial EVs for last-mile deliveries to reduce carbon emissions. Tata Motors will advise on ideal charging station locations and dealerships, while Delta Electronics provides the hardware and Thunderplus Solutions handles installation and operation.
Mr. Vinay Pathak, Vice President & Business Head – SCV&PU, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said, “Our endeavour is to make emission-free cargo transportation easily accessible. Expanding the available charging infrastructure on high-use routes will encourage more customers to opt for electric commercial vehicles and improve vehicle uptime resulting in higher revenues and better profitability, while contributing towards a cleaner, greener environment. Installing fast chargers at our dealerships makes it convenient for them to gain access at a familiar location with reliable charging facility.”
