Qatar- Tata Motors Limited., in collaboration with its official distributor Al Hamad Automobiles, has launched the all-new Tata LPO 1622 bus in Qatar. Purpose-built for staff transportation, this model marks Tata Motors’ first Euro VI-compliant bus in the Middle East, offering superior performance, enhanced passenger comfort, and a low total cost of ownership.
Powered by a proven Cummins ISBe 5.6L Euro VI engine, the LPO 1622 delivers 220 hp and 925 Nm of torque. Designed for flexibility, it comes in two seating configurations—65-seater and 61-seater—to meet diverse staff mobility needs. The bus is equipped with a full air dual-circuit braking system with ABS, tubeless radial tyres, and a heavy-duty suspension setup to ensure safety, comfort, and road stability.
In addition, the LPO 1622 integrates several advanced features such as Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, Cruise Control, and a Multimode Switch for optimized performance across various driving conditions. Its durable aggregates, ergonomic seating, and low operating costs make it a smart and efficient solution for fleet operators seeking high uptime and long-term value.
Alongside the LPO 1622, Tata Motors also unveiled a refreshed range of Euro V-compliant Prima heavy trucks, tailored for Qatar’s rapidly growing infrastructure and construction sectors. The lineup includes the Prima 4040.K, Prima 4440.S, Prima 4040.T, and Prima 6040.S each engineered for enhanced durability and performance in demanding applications.
