EV charging station in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, enhancing connectivity in Eastern UP with a 130-kilometer corridor that includes 30kW chargers in Ballia and Azamgarh, and plans for more stations in Sultanpur and Lucknow.
Date: November 5, 2024Azamgarh- Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited, an EV Charging solutions providers and a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, has announce the deployment of a new EV charging station in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh. This strategic installation is pivotal in enhancing connectivity across Eastern UP, connecting major cities like Sultanpur, Ballia, and Gorakhpur. By establishing a key corridor from Ballia to Lucknow, Tata Power has energized the route, greatly improving accessibility for EV users in the region.
The new infrastructure includes a 30kW charger at Puneet Auto Sales in Ballia, which serves as the network's starting point, and another 30kW charger at the Sarvodya Digital Library in Azamgarh, enabling electric vehicle owners to travel 130 kilometers. The corridor continues with a 30kW charger at Motel NH56 in Sultanpur and a robust 60kW fast charger at Shalimar Corporate Park in Lucknow.
This initiative enhances connectivity from East UP to West UP and underscores Tata Power's commitment to making India EV-ready with a robust and accessible charging infrastructure. By strategically placing charging stations in locations like hotels, highways, malls, car dealerships, and offices, Tata Power aims to bridge the infrastructure gap and support the increasing demand for electric vehicles.
Tata Power has established an extensive EZ Charge network, boasting over 100,000 home charger installations and more than 5,500 charging points across various segments, serving over 550 cities and towns in the region. Additionally, the network features over 1,100 bus charging points, with a presence in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Jammu, and many more.
