Date: November 30, 2023Mumbai- Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited., (TPEVCSL), a Tata Power Group Company an EV Charging solutions providers in India, signed a Memorandum of Association with the Kanpur Municipal Corporation to install 12 EV charging stations across six strategic locations in Kanpur. This collaboration signifies the beginning of a trailblazing initiative to revolutionize the EV infrastructure landscape in Kanpur.
The Zonal Offices in Krishna Nagar's Zones 02 and 05, Sen Para Police Chauki between Apna Ghar Ashram and Road, Moti Jheel Parking / Kargil Park, the area around the Medical College at Gol Chouraha, and the Children's Park near OEF at Vijay Nagar Chauraha are just a few of the strategic locations for these charging stations throughout the city. The State government plans to set up EV charging stations in cities like Agra, Lucknow, Kanpur, and Prayagraj, with additional stations at heritage sites and tourist destinations in Uttar Pradesh. Tata Power is actively supporting this initiative, aligning with the government's goal of widespread charging infrastructure. With a 60% market share, Tata Power's EZ Charge network covers 420 cities, 62,000 home chargers, 4,900 public charging points, and 460 bus-charging stations, playing a crucial role in advancing e-mobility adoption. Access to their expansive EV charging network is facilitated through the Tata Power EZ Charger mobile app, available on iOS and Android.
