Date: June 13, 2024Mumbai- Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL)., of the Tata Group, an integrated renewable energy company and electric vehicle charging service provider, the e-mobility transition by deploying over 850 charging points in major metropolitan areas. These points are spread across 30+ bus depots in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Jammu, Srinagar, Dharwad, Lucknow, and Goa, supporting over 2300 public e-buses. This network has resulted in saving more than 1 lakh tons of CO2 emissions. Tata Power has also designed and constructed numerous bus depots nationwide.
Tata Power Renewable's charging infrastructure includes high-capacity fast chargers (180-240 KW) with an average charging time of 1 to 1.5 hours, meeting the demanding needs of public transport buses.
While Delhi leads in e-bus presence utilizing Tata Power's EV Charging points, it is followed closely by Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Jammu, and Srinagar. Tata Power is dedicated to promoting e-mobility adoption and is fostering synergies with various OEM operators and enabling various state governments’ transport corporations.
