Mumbai- Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited (TPEVCSL)., a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited and part of The Tata Power Company Limited, has partnership with VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV) to accelerate the adoption of electric commercial vehicles in India. The collaboration will center on supporting the rollout of the recently launched Eicher Pro X range of Small Commercial Vehicles.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Tata Power will leverage its extensive EV charging infrastructure and expertise in delivering customized charging solutions, while VECV will contribute its proficiency in energy efficiency to optimize energy consumption in electric trucks. Together, the companies will engage with Eicher Trucks and Buses customers to drive the shift toward electric mobility, ensuring vehicles are tailored to the specific needs of operators and their applications.
The partnership will focus on overcoming key barriers to electric commercial vehicle adoption, including range anxiety, availability of charging infrastructure, and cost efficiency. In addition to the Pro X range, the collaboration will pave the way for the deployment of other models across Eicher’s diverse electric vehicle portfolio.
By combining cutting-edge technology, robust infrastructure, and a shared commitment to sustainability, TPEVCSL and VECV aim to modernize India’s commercial transport sector. This collaboration marks a transformative step toward building a greener, more efficient ecosystem for trucks and buses.
