New Delhi - Terra Motors India,In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in India’s electric mobility sector, Terra Motors India, the local arm of the Japanese electric vehicle pioneer, has unveiled its latest three-wheeler, KYORO+, at a launch event held at The Lalit, New Delhi. The event was graced by key dignitaries, including BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla, signaling high-level support for clean and sustainable transport solutions.

The name KYORO+ is derived from a Japanese word meaning "alertness" and "quick movement," reflecting the vehicle’s agility and modern design. It represents Terra Motors’ ongoing commitment to developing intelligent, efficient electric vehicles suited to India’s unique urban transport needs. With this launch, KYORO+ joins the brand’s growing L5 electric auto portfolio alongside models such as Y4A, Rizin, and Pace.

Aggressive Growth Strategy

Terra Motors has laid out an ambitious roadmap for 2025, aiming to:

  • Expand its dealership network to 100 locations across the country

  • Boost monthly production capacity to 5,000 units

  • Position itself as a market leader in India's $1.17 billion electric three-wheeler segment

Performance Meets Practicality

The KYORO+ has been engineered to deliver optimal performance, safety, and rider comfort. It offers an impressive range of up to 200 km on a single charge, with quick acceleration from 0 to 28 km/h in just 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 55 km/h. Designed to handle inclines of up to 22% even when fully loaded, the vehicle features an ergonomic layout with spacious seating and ample luggage capacity. These specifications make the KYORO+ an ideal choice for urban commuters, last-mile delivery operators, and fleet businesses looking for an efficient, practical, and environmentally friendly transportation solution.

Mr. Go Suzuki, Managing Director of Terra Motors India, stated that the company aims to capture a 5-8% share of the electric three-wheeler market, which sees annual sales of approximately 1.5 to 1.6 lakh units. To achieve this, Terra Motors plans to establish 100 dealerships across the country and increase its production capacity to around 5,000 units per month. The company’s current manufacturing facility in Manesar has an annual capacity of 5,000 to 10,000 units, which will be scaled up to meet the anticipated demand.

In addition to vehicle manufacturing, Terra Motors is expanding its EV charging infrastructure through its subsidiary, Terra Charge. The company has set a target to deploy 800 to 1,000 charging points by March next year, aiming for an annual revenue of USD 668,000. Initial charging stations have been installed in Haryana, with plans to expand to West Bengal and Maharashtra soon.
