TI Clean Mobility appoints a new MD

Chennai- TI Clean Mobility Private Limited (TICMPL)., a rapidly growing electric vehicle (EV) division under the Murugappa Group, has announced the appointment of Mr. Jalaj Gupta as its new Managing Director. With his extensive expertise in the commercial vehicle sector, Gupta is set to play a pivotal role in driving TICM's ambitions in the evolving EV industry.

Before joining TICM, Gupta served as Business Head for the Commercial Vehicles division at the Mahindra Group, where he led significant growth in the Mahindra Truck and Bus and Construction Equipment businesses. His leadership delivered strategic advancements, strong product performance, and market share growth. Gupta also held pivotal roles at Ashok Leyland and Tata Motors, contributing to the evolution of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and reshaping product portfolios to achieve market expansion.

Under Gupta’s leadership, TICM is set to accelerate its growth trajectory. The company, known for its Montra Electric three-wheelers, recorded impressive sales of 5,301 units in 2024. It is also preparing to launch electric tractors, further diversifying its offerings and strengthening its position as a leader in clean mobility solutions.

Gupta’s expertise in team management, strategic planning, and product innovation positions him well to guide TICM through its next phase of growth. “TI Clean Mobility has a clear vision for advancing sustainable transportation solutions,” Gupta said. “I am eager to contribute to this mission and work with the team to achieve new milestones in the EV sector.”
