Tiger Trailers delivers Custom Trailers to ASDA

Tiger Trailers has delivered 35 bespoke high cube trailers to ASDA for its George clothing fleet, featuring custom tail-lifts and load-securing systems.

Cheshire, England- Tiger Trailers Limited., an HGV semi-trailer and rigid truck bodywork manufacturers, has once again showcased its expertise in designing and manufacturing bespoke vehicles, delivering 35 high-performance ‘high cube’ trailers to ASDA Stores Ltd. These custom-built trailers, featuring a 4.9-meter tall structure with an internal tail-lift, have been tailored to meet the specific operational needs of ASDA’s George clothing fleet.

Each of the 35 trailers boasts a side-mounted Dhollandia platform with a 500kg capacity that can move up and down the entire length of the trailer. This platform is designed to provide operatives with the flexibility to adjust the positioning of the 150 load-securing bars to suit the internal roof-mounted tracks and 9 horizontal tracks fitted along the sides of the trailer. The result is an efficient and versatile solution for the transport of clothing, offering unparalleled ease of access and secure load handling.

Beyond the advanced platform technology, the trailers include key safety features such as an internal step for easier access to the neck area, safety gates on the moving platform, a Nexus ground-level coupling, Axscend tyre pressure monitoring, and an external heat treatment paint for the roof. These additions ensure optimal safety and efficiency for the trailers' daily operations.

The new clothing trailers will primarily operate from ASDA’s Brackmills, Limedale, and Washington NEC sites, further strengthening the supermarket giant’s logistics capabilities for its George clothing brand.
