DES MOINES, Iowa - Titan International Inc., a tires manufacturer, has unveiled the Carlstar Ultra Guard Steel tire line, marking the company’s first steel-belted skid steer tire. The launch reinforces Titan’s commitment to becoming a full-service provider for all tire sizes and applications.
The Ultra Guard Steel addresses growing demand for high-performance tires designed for tough environments, including construction sites and areas with high puncture risks.

The Ultra Guard Steel tire features a heavy-duty steel-belt construction, offering more than 150% increased puncture resistance compared to traditional bias tires. Its ultra-durable tread design with larger lugs improves load distribution, boosting overall endurance, while flexible sidewalls enhance rideability through better shock absorption. The tire’s deeper tread and increased surface contact provide superior traction, grip, and strength in demanding conditions, and a built-in rim guard protects rims, prevents damage, and reduces repair costs—an important feature often absent in competitor tires.
