PLANO, Texas — Toyota Motor Corporation has officially lifted the veil on its latest entry into the electric vehicle market — the all-new 2026 Toyota C-HR BEV, a dynamic and stylish compact electric SUV built to appeal to both performance enthusiasts and eco-conscious drivers alike.
Electrifying Power Meets All-Wheel Confidence
Underpinning the C-HR BEV is a dual-motor setup producing a combined 338 horsepower, propelling the SUV from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 5 seconds. Standard All-Wheel Drive (AWD) ensures stability and confidence across varied driving conditions, while the low center of gravity — a benefit of its underfloor battery layout — enhances handling and agility.
Powered by a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery, the C-HR BEV is projected to deliver up to 290 miles of all-electric range (manufacturer estimate). With DC fast-charging capability via the North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, the vehicle can charge from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes, making it ideal for both daily commutes and road trips. Features like Plug & Charge, regenerative braking with paddle shifters, and battery pre-conditioning further streamline the electric driving experience.
The 2026 C-HR BEV is available in SE and XSE trims, with both offering a bold, coupe-like silhouette, sharp character lines, and signature LED lighting. The SUV features 18- to 20-inch wheels, a power liftgate, low-profile roof rails, and new color choices including Overcast and Tandoori, with available two-tone paint options.
Inside, a clean and tech-forward cabin awaits. A massive 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster, and dual wireless smartphone chargers come standard. Trim options range from fabric and SofTex® to premium synthetic suede. The XSE trim steps it up with memory seating, panoramic view monitor, and 20-inch wheels.
Toyota has prioritized connected technology with the C-HR BEV. Highlights include:
Drive Connect (3-year trial): Intelligent Assistant, Cloud Navigation, Destination Assist
Wireless Apple CarPlay® & Android Auto™
Remote Connect (3-year trial): Remote climate control, vehicle status monitoring, and charge scheduling via the Toyota App
Wi-Fi Connect (30-day trial): Turns the vehicle into a mobile hotspot for up to five devices
Available JBL® Premium Audio with 9 speakers and 800-watt amplifier
All 2026 C-HR BEV models come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, which includes:
Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
Lane Departure Alert
