Date: September 14, 2024Brussels, Belgium- Toyota Motor Italia S.p.A., has officially launched its first heavy-duty van for the European market, the all-new PROACE MAX. This latest addition to the Toyota Professional lineup joins the PROACE, PROACE CITY, and Hilux. This model offers impressive load capacity, performance, and design with a variety of configurations to suit diverse needs.
PROACE MAX is available in six different sizes, featuring various wheelbases, lengths, and heights to accommodate cargo volumes ranging from 10 to 17 m³. It can carry up to five Euro pallets and is offered in panel van, tipper, dropside, and Crew Cab configurations. The design features a bold new look with a body-colored upper element, a matte black grille, LED headlights, and 16-inch alloys for high-grade models. It comes with both battery electric (BEV) and diesel powertrains, catering to diverse business needs. The BEV model provides a range of up to 420 km and rapid charging capabilities, while the diesel options deliver robust performance with up to 180 DIN hp and competitive CO2 emissions.
Advanced technology and efficiency with its battery electric powertrain delivering 200 kW (270 DIN hp) and 410 Nm of torque. It offers three drive modes—ECO, NORMAL, and POWER—and includes regenerative braking for added efficiency. Charging to 80% takes just 55 minutes with a 150 kW fast charger. For those preferring diesel engines, there is a 2.2-liter unit available with varying power outputs and the option of either manual or automatic transmission.
PROACE MAX offers extensive customization options, including factory-fitted chassis cab and platform cab models, with additional modifications available through Toyota-authorized converters. Accessories include load-enhancing features, security options, and charging solutions for electric models. For safety, it comes standard with Toyota Safety Technologies, Crosswind Assist, and advanced parking aids. High-grade models feature a 10-inch touchscreen, cloud-based navigation, and smartphone integration. Manufactured in Gliwice, Poland (BEV) and Atessa, Italy (diesel), production started in mid-July, with first deliveries anticipated from September 2024.
