Hinckley, United Kingdom- Triumph Motorcycles ltd., as revealed the Speed Twin 1200 Café Racer Edition for the 2027 model year, a limited-production model that draws inspiration from the iconic British café racers of the 1960s.
Restricted to 800 units worldwide, the Café Racer Edition is based on the Speed Twin 1200 RS and adds classic racer-focused updates. It features clip-on handlebars for a lower, more tucked riding position, a single-seat setup with a distinctive brown bullet seat and a removable cowl, and the passenger pegs are deleted as standard to reinforce the streamlined look.
To underline its exclusivity, every motorcycle will be delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity. Triumph has also included practical flexibility while the bike ships as a single-seater, the passenger footpegs are supplied in the crate, allowing owners to restore two-up capability if they choose.
Styling details are a key focus, with machined bar-end mirrors enhancing the clean silhouette. Additional premium touches include ribbed clutch and alternator cover badges, black head bolt covers, and sculpted knee pads, creating a refined, minimalist café racer finish.
The look is completed by a British racing-inspired paint scheme, combining Competition Green and Aluminum Silver, paired with Aluminum Silver wheels and a Competition Green headlight bowl to match the bodywork.
Mr. Paul Stroud, Chief Commercial Officer at Triumph Motorcycles, said the latest Speed Twin 1200 has been well received in Europe and the US for its balance of performance, style, and everyday usability. He added that the Café Racer Edition will sit at the top of the Speed Twin range, offering collectors and regular riders a more exclusive model that blends heritage-inspired design with premium specification and engaging performance.
