India - TVS Motor Company has launched the 2025 Apache RTR 160 2V in India with a price starting at ₹1.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated version brings key upgrades including dual-channel ABS, OBD-2B emission compliance, Bluetooth connectivity via SmartXonnect, and three riding modes, making it one of the most feature-rich 160cc motorcycles in India.
Engine, Emissions & Performance
The new RTR 160 2V continues with the tried-and-tested 159.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, producing 15.8 PS @ 8,750 rpm and 13.85 Nm @ 7,000 rpm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. While the engine itself hasn’t changed mechanically, it is now OBD-2B compliant, offering real-time emissions monitoring and improved environmental performance.
Dual-Channel ABS for Improved Safety
For the first time, the Apache RTR 160 2V features dual-channel ABS, enhancing braking stability and making it safer under emergency braking or slippery road conditions. This update puts the RTR 160 ahead of several competitors in the safety department.
Connectivity & Ride Modes with SmartXonnect
The 2025 Apache RTR 160 is equipped with TVS SmartXonnect—TVS’s Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster system. It includes:
- Turn-by-turn navigation
- Voice assist
- Call and SMS alerts
- Ride stats and diagnostics
The bike also supports three ride modes:
- Sport – for sharper throttle and maximum performance
- Urban – balanced for daily commuting
- Rain – smoother power delivery for wet conditions
Visual & Styling Updates
Though the overall design language remains aggressive and muscular, the 2025 model receives:
- Red alloy wheels
- New color options: Matte Black, Pearl White, and others
- Refined tank shrouds and graphics
These updates subtly enhance the RTR’s premium streetfighter look.
Pricing & Rivals
With a launch price of ₹1.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the 2025 RTR 160 2V is now about ₹4,000 more expensive than the previous top-spec Racing Edition.
