TVS Motor launches Apache RTX

Chennai- TVS Motor Company., a two- and three-wheeler manufacturing, has unveiled the highly anticipated TVS Apache RTX, ushering in a new era of adventure motorcycling. The launch introduces a dynamic segment that seamlessly merges racing performance with touring versatility, combining speed, endurance, and exploration for modern riders.

The TVS Apache RTX is crafted for adventure, uniting rally-inspired performance, cutting-edge design, and advanced technology. Built on a purpose-engineered steel trellis frame, it offers superior structural efficiency, dynamic responsiveness, and a low seat height for enhanced control and confidence. Lightweight yet strong, the frame improves the power-to-weight ratio and ensures agile handling across varied terrains.

For suspension, the Apache RTX employs a long-travel WP inverted cartridge fork at the front for precise alignment and superior damping, while the rear mono-tube shock absorber with a floating piston (MFP) delivers consistent performance, better heat dissipation, and outstanding ride comfort—even at high speeds or on rough surfaces.

Inspired by rally ergonomics, the bike’s geometry offers a balanced riding position for both tarmac and trails, ensuring long-distance comfort and quick adaptability between seated and standing stances. The forward-leaning mono-volume silhouette, where the tank and headlamp merge seamlessly, gives the motorcycle a muscular, aerodynamic, and adventure-ready profile that embodies grit and freedom.

The Apache RTX’s signature lighting identity features DRL blades, levitating main beam reflectors, and twin-chamber headlamps with dynamic intensity control that adjusts brightness with speed. Available in five distinctive colourways—Viper Green, Metallic Blue, Pearl White, Lightning Black, and Tarn Bronze—each variant is accented with Apache Red highlights and a mix of matte and gloss finishes for a striking look.

A 5-inch high-contrast TFT display offers clear visibility, navigation, multiple ride modes, and smart connectivity. Riders can switch between Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally modes, optimizing engine performance, traction control, and ABS response for every terrain. Additional features such as cruise control, quickshifter, wheelie mitigation, and terrain-adaptive ABS ensure a controlled and exhilarating experience both on and off-road.

Connectivity features include map mirroring, turn-by-turn navigation, and vehicle diagnostics, enhancing rider convenience and confidence. The Apache RTX also supports modular customization through mounts for guards, luggage, and protective gear, with touring accessories such as a raised beak fender, bash plate, tank and knuckle guards, USB charger, and GIVI panniers—making it equally suited for long-distance touring and everyday commuting.

At its core, the Apache RTX is powered by the new TVS RT-XD4 300 engine, a 299.1cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke DOHC unit producing 36 PS at 9,500 rpm and 28.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm. It features a 6-speed gearbox, ride-by-wire throttle, and assist & slipper clutch for refined and responsive performance.

The RT-XD4 engine platform introduces four dual technologies:

• Dual Overhead Cams with downdraft port for superior high-rev output.
• Dual oil pump with split chamber crankcase for optimal lubrication and torque delivery.
• Dual cooling jacket cylinder head combining water and oil cooling for efficient temperature control.
• Dual breather system that reduces aeration and oil consumption for consistent long-term performance.

Designed to support ethanol-blended fuels and reduce emissions, the RT-XD4 platform ensures efficiency, durability, and sustainability. Available in five colours and three variants, the TVS Apache RTX delivers the perfect blend of racing DNA, adventure engineering, and everyday usability, making it a formidable companion for thrill-seekers and touring enthusiasts alike.
