Lucknow- TVS Motor Company Ltd., a two- and three-wheeler manufacturers, has launched the TVS Orbiter V1 electric scooter, expanding its electric vehicle portfolio. The company said the new model is designed for everyday urban commuting and aims to improve accessibility to electric mobility for customers in India.
The TVS Orbiter V1 is powered by a 1.8 kWh battery and offers a certified IDC range of 86 km. The scooter also supports fast charging, making it suitable for daily city travel and short-distance commuting. The launch further strengthens the company’s EV lineup as demand for electric two-wheelers continues to grow in urban markets.
The scooter comes equipped with several modern features, including a connected mobile app, LED headlamp with visor, coloured LCD instrument cluster, smart navigation capability, call and SMS alerts, Hill Hold Assist, Cruise Control, Parking Assist, over-the-air updates, and Eco and Power ride modes with regenerative braking.
In terms of design and usability, the Orbiter V1 focuses on rider comfort and practicality. It features a long flat seat, wide footboard for better legroom, an upright handlebar for a relaxed riding posture, and 34 litres of under-seat storage, providing convenience for everyday commuting.
TVS Motor has also introduced Battery-as-a-Service across its EV range, offering customers a flexible ownership model by separating battery usage from the vehicle purchase. The company said this initiative is aimed at improving accessibility and supporting the wider adoption of electric mobility in India.
