Uno Minda Restructures Leadership and Expands Board

Gurugram- Uno Minda Limited., a Tier-1 supplier of proprietary automotive systems and solutions to OEMs, has announced a strategic leadership and Board of Directors restructuring, effective April 1, 2025

Uno Minda is restructuring its leadership by separating the roles of Chairman and Managing Director to enhance corporate governance and operational oversight. Effective April 1, 2025, Mr. Ravi Mehra, currently Deputy Managing Director, will be promoted to Managing Director, overseeing the company’s operations. Mr. Nirmal Kumar Minda will transition to Executive Chairman, focusing on strategic direction, business oversight, and leadership mentoring.

This move marks a key step towards a professionally led organization with a stronger governance structure. Mr. Mehra, a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, brings over 30 years of industry experience, having been instrumental in Uno Minda’s growth since 1995.

To enhance diversity and expertise, Uno Minda has announced the following Board appointments, effective April 1, 2025:

Mr. Shekar Viswanathan – Independent Director, With over four decades of experience, Mr. Viswanathan previously served as Vice Chairman and Whole-time Director of Toyota Kirloskar Motors Pvt. Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Madras and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mr. Abhay Damle – Independent Director, A former 1989-batch Indian Revenue Service officer, Mr. Damle has held key government roles, including Joint Secretary at MoRTH and Director of the Central Institute of Road Transport, Pune. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and a Bachelor’s in Production Engineering from NIT Bhopal.

Ms. Paridhi Minda and Ms. Pallak Minda – Non-Executive Directors, Daughters of Mr. Nirmal Kumar Minda, they bring extensive experience from their association with Uno Minda since 2001. Ms. Paridhi Minda holds a management degree from Bradford University, a certification from the London School of Economics, and attended finishing school at Institut Villa Pierrefeu, Switzerland. Ms. Pallak Minda is a graduate in Entrepreneurship from Delhi University and completed the Master’s Programme for Entrepreneurs and Family Businesses (MPEFB) from IIM Bangalore.
