Vaderstad Increases Hopper Capacity for Spirit Seed Drill

Vaderstad boosts Spirit seed drill hopper capacity by over 25% for 2025 models, increasing from 3900 to 5000 litres for enhanced field efficiency and logistics.

Sweden, Europe - Vaderstad AB., a farm machinery manufacturer, is increasing the hopper capacity of its Spirit seed drills. Starting with the 2025 models, the capacity will rise over 25%, from 3900 to 5000 litres, enhancing field efficiency and streamlining logistics for farmers.

Currently, the larger combi models in the Spirit seed drill range, Spirit 600-900C, feature a 5000-litre hopper, while other models are equipped with a 3900-litre hopper. Starting October 2024, all Spirit seed drills with a working width of over 6 metres, along with the 4-metre Spirit 400C, will be upgraded to a 5000-litre hopper.

Mr. Bjorn Jeansson, Commercial Product Manager for Seed drills, at Vaderstad, said, “The larger hopper provides a higher capacity for the farmers. The 25% volume increase enables longer time between fillings, to thereby increase the field efficiency at seeding.”

The Vaderstad Spirit pneumatic seed drill combines leveling, seedbed preparation, reconsolidation, seeding, and consolidation in a single pass. Renowned for its precision at high working speeds, it features double seed disc coulters for optimal seed placement in light to medium soils.

From October 2024, models Spirit 400C, Spirit 600C InLine, Spirit 600S, Spirit 800S, and Spirit 900S will be upgraded to a new 5000-litre hopper.
