Valeo 48V eAccess powers Toyota APM electric shuttles for Paris sports event, offering sustainable and efficient mobility solutions.

Daegu, Korea- Valeo Inc., an automotive technology, to support a major international sports event in Paris this summer with 48V eAccess technology powering Toyota APM electric shuttles. Originally designed for the 2020 Tokyo event, this new version is tailored for Europe, accommodating six people and featuring foldable seats for wheelchair access. It also includes a relief version for medical assistance, capable of transporting a stretcher and medical staff. The shuttles will ensure safe and efficient mobility within the sports sites.

Valeo's 48V eAccess is a scalable, affordable electric drive solution for urban mobility. Toyota uses Valeo's eAccess Belt 14, an all-in-one system (motor, inverter, reducer) enabling vehicles to operate up to 20 kph with a gross vehicle mass of 1390 kg. The system includes a 48V 13.5 kW generator, gear reducer, and innovative ribbed elastic belt, achieving speeds up to 100 kph with a 100 km electric range. Valeo’s 48V eAccess meets high NVH standards and supports environmental sustainability through recycling and reduced footprint.
Valeo's 48V eAccess technology powers the Citroën Ami, Atul 3-Wheelers in India, and BMW's e-motorbike CE02. This affordable, easy-to-integrate solution accelerates electric mobility adoption to meet environmental regulations. Toyota will deploy 250 vehicles with Valeo's eAccess at a major sports event in Paris this summer.
