Suolahti, Finland - Valtra Inc., a brand of AGCO Corporation and a tractor manufacturer, has completed production of the 1,000th AGCO CVT transmission at its Suolahti factory in Finland, marking a major milestone just one year after series production began.
The achievement follows Valtra’s USD 44 million (€38 million) high-technology investment in expanding CVT transmission production at the Suolahti plant. The expansion strengthens Valtra’s “Made in Finland” commitment and supports AGCO’s wider global tractor manufacturing network.
The Suolahti transmission facility now produces AGCO CVT transmissions not only for Valtra tractors but also for other AGCO tractor brands. By manufacturing key powertrain components close to tractor production, Valtra is improving production efficiency, quality control and supply reliability.
According to the company, the expanded CVT facility has quickly reached a stable and efficient production level. The investment is one of the most significant in Valtra’s history and reinforces Suolahti’s position as a modern, high-technology tractor manufacturing hub.
Producing AGCO CVT transmissions in Suolahti also increases Valtra’s production self-sufficiency and provides a strong long-term foundation for competitiveness and future development of transmission manufacturing in Finland.
