Suolahti, Finland - Valtra Inc., a subsidiary of AGCO Corporation and an agricultural equipment manufacturer, has unveiled significant upgrades to its 5th generation A Series tractor, focusing on comfort, usability, and precision farming technologies. The updates apply to the A105 and A115 models, which are now offered exclusively with the HiTech 4 Powershift transmission (16+16R or 32+32R with creeper). This move eliminates traditional gear levers in Valtra’s four-cylinder lineup, making electronically controlled transmissions standard.
The tractors integrate advanced smart farming solutions, including the Valtra Guide autoguidance system, ISOBUS compatibility, and the SmartTouch Extend display, delivering centimetre-level accuracy. Valtra Connect telemetry is also available, bringing digital tools previously reserved for larger models to the compact A Series.
Operator comfort has been enhanced with safe aluminium steps, 70% larger rearview mirrors, improved heating and air conditioning with optional underfloor heating, and full-LED work lights. A larger 200-litre fuel tank, optional in steel, adds to efficiency on long workdays.
Under the hood, both tractors feature AGCO Power 4.4L Stage V engines producing 105 hp (78 kW) and 115 hp (86 kW). A new dual-pump hydraulic system (98 l/min) with upgraded flow control valves boosts performance, while a 2.5-ton front linkage is available with mechanical or electronic control.
Customization options through Valtra Unlimited allow buyers to tailor their tractors with front loaders, front-mounted implements, and specialized configurations for comfort and productivity.
Valtra will continue to offer the 3-cylinder A Series GL models for farmers under 100 hp seeking simpler, more affordable tractors. However, all mechanical gear lever models above 100 hp will be discontinued.
