Date: December 27, 2024
New Delhi - Vayve Mobility., an emerging OEM, is set to unveil Eva, a compact solar-powered electric car, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi from January 17 to 22, 2025. Eva is a compact solar-electric vehicle offering a 250-kilometer range, fast charging, and smart connectivity, designed to provide an eco-friendly and cost-effective solution for urban commuting.
After gaining attention at Auto Expo 2023, the updated Eva offers a practical, eco-friendly solution for urban commuting, tackling challenges like traffic, limited parking, and rising fuel costs with its compact design.
Eva offers a 250 km range on a single charge, with up to 3,000 additional kilometers from solar charging. Its fast-charging powertrain adds 50 km in just five minutes, and it accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in five seconds, reaching a top speed of 70 km/h. Equipped with smart connectivity features and enhanced driver visibility, Eva's operational cost is just ₹0.5 per kilometer, significantly lower than the ₹5/km of petrol cars, making it an affordable choice for urban households.
Mr. Nilesh Bajaj, Co-founder and CEO of Vayve Mobility, said, “Eva represents a new category of city cars, combining sustainability and practicality. Based on feedback from Auto Expo 2023, we have refined the vehicle to cater to the evolving needs of modern urban consumers. Eva's focus on integrating solar power and smart connectivity to offer a contemporary mobility solution tailored to city dwellers."
The car design is tailored to India’s urban commuting patterns, where the average daily travel distance is under 35 kilometers and car occupancy is low. Vayve Mobility aims to address gaps in the small car segment with an efficient vehicle built for everyday use.
