Pune- VE Commercial Vehicles., Eicher branded trucks and buses have recorded a significant growth in sales in the domestic commercial vehicle (CV) market in April 2023. According to reports, the company has sold 6142 units in the domestic CV market, marking a growth of 28.9% as compared to the same period last year when it had sold 4766 units.
Overall, Eicher branded trucks and buses have recorded sales of 6399 units in April 2023, representing a growth of 18.1% as compared to April 2022 when it had sold 5416 units. However, on the exports front, the company has recorded a decline in sales, selling only 257 units in April 2023 as compared to 650 units in April 2022, representing a decline of 60.5%.
In addition to Eicher branded trucks and buses, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses have also witnessed a growth in sales in April 2023, selling 168 units as compared to 109 units in April 2022, representing a growth of 54.1%.
As the country continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the economy, the positive sales growth for Eicher branded trucks and buses and Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses is a positive sign for the Indian automotive industry.
