Delhi- VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV) has announced the appointment of B Srinivas as its new Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2026.

B Srinivas brings more than three decades of experience with the Eicher Group, having held a wide range of leadership roles across strategy, sales, marketing, operations, and multiple business lines. Since 2024, he has been serving as the Chief Operating Officer of VECV. Prior to that, he was Head of Product Strategy & Purchasing from 2022 to 2024 and led the Eicher Bus business at VECV between 2018 and 2022. With his extensive cross-functional expertise, deep market understanding, and strong leadership capabilities, Srinivas is set to lead the company into its next phase of growth.

As part of the leadership transition, Vinod Aggarwal, Vice Chairman of Eicher Motors Limited (EML), will take over as Chairman of the Board at VECV from April 1, 2026, representing EML. Aggarwal, who has led VECV for sixteen years, will step down from his current role as Managing Director & CEO and succeed Sofia Frändberg, who completes her three-year term as Chairperson and nominee of AB Volvo. Sofia Frändberg will continue to remain on the Board of VECV.

Mr.  Rajinder Singh Sachdeva, upon his superannuation as Deputy CEO and Chief Transformation Officer of VECV, has been nominated to the VECV Board as a nominee of EML, replacing Raul Rai, who steps down as Director. The Board also expressed its appreciation for Raul Rai’s significant contributions since the company’s inception.

Mr. Siddhartha Lal, Chairman of Eicher Motors Ltd., said he was delighted with the appointment of B Srinivas, noting that it reinforces VECV’s long-term strategy and leadership continuity. He highlighted Srinivas’ hands-on and inclusive leadership style, strategic mindset, customer focus, and technological understanding, adding that the company would benefit greatly from his leadership in the years ahead.

Lal also praised Vinod Aggarwal for his forty-three years of distinguished service with the Eicher Group, including his tenure as Group CFO of Eicher Motors. He credited Aggarwal with building strong foundations for VECV, driving growth across segments, business lines, and markets, and strengthening the company’s position as a major force in India’s commercial vehicle industry.

Ms. Sofia Frändberg, Chairperson of VECV and Senior Leader at Volvo Group, said VECV stands as a strong example of the successful partnership between Volvo Group and Eicher. She noted that since the joint venture’s formation in 2008, the company has consistently invested in products, capacity, technology, and network expansion, emerging as a strong player in the commercial vehicle market. She extended her best wishes to both Srinivas and Aggarwal as they assume their new responsibilities.

Mr. Vinod Aggarwal congratulated B Srinivas on his appointment, saying his three decades of experience, deep understanding of the business, and strategic vision would help further accelerate VECV’s growth trajectory. He added that he looks forward to working closely with Srinivas as he transitions into his new role as Chairman.

Mr. B Srinivas said his journey with Eicher has been truly remarkable. Having spent thirty-one years with the organization in both commercial and technical roles, including the last two years as COO of VECV, he said he is excited to begin this new chapter. He thanked the Board of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. for the opportunity and for placing their trust in him to lead the company’s future growth along with his team.
