Gurugram- VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd., a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has announced impressive sales figures for August 2023, showcasing a significant growth of 29.40% compared to the same month last year.
In August 2023, the company reported selling 6,476 units in total, a significant increase over the 5,003 units sold in August 2022. This expansion underlines the joint venture's ongoing success in the market for commercial vehicles.
6,239 units of trucks and buses bearing the Eicher brand were sold, which was crucial to this performance. Compared to the 4,893 units sold in August 2022, this shows a noteworthy growth rate of 27.50%.
When compared to the 4,530 units sold in August 2022, sales of trucks and buses with the Eicher brand in the domestic commercial vehicle market increased by a phenomenal 30.40% to 5,907 units in August 2023. This shows the brand's great market penetration and appeal.
Internationally, sales of trucks and buses with the Eicher brand were reported at 332 units in August 2023, a minor decline of -8.50% from the 363 units sold in August 2022. Although slight, this decline may be a reflection of changes in economic and demand trends worldwide.
By selling 237 units in August 2023, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses, a division of VE Commercial Vehicles, demonstrated impressive growth. This result reflects a significant growth rate of 115.5% compared to the 110 units sold in August 2022.
