Pontedera, Italy- Piaggio Group., Vespa has expanded its Lunar Collection with the Vespa 946 Horse, a limited-edition model created to celebrate the symbolism of the Year of the Horse. Following earlier Lunar editions inspired by the Dragon and the Snake, this release embraces the horse’s values regal presence, dynamism, and resilience translated into a refined new interpretation of the iconic Vespa 946. Designed to represent freedom of movement with effortless elegance, the edition is crafted with meticulous attention to detail and premium finishing throughout.

The Vespa 946 Horse stands out with a distinctive bay colour, a deep brown tone inspired by the glossy dark coat of a horse. Its steel body is reimagined with a mix of matte and gloss contrasts, complemented by golden detailing, including a V monogram stamped at the centre of a horseshoe beneath the saddle. Italian craftsmanship is a key theme, highlighted by a leather saddle inspired by equestrian tack, handcrafted by skilled Italian artisans, along with premium leather trims on the handlebars and rear-view mirrors.

A carefully curated set of accessories completes the limited edition with the same equestrian-inspired styling. A rear bag, made in Italy from the same leather used for the saddle, adds practicality without losing the premium look, while the windshield features aluminium supports that elevate its visual finish. Matching the theme, the jet helmet includes a three-dimensional gold V on the back, reinforcing the model’s distinctive identity.

Alongside the scooter, Vespa is also launching IN SELLA, the third drop of the AL VENTO collection, aimed at riders who see style as a true expression of personality. This capsule introduces a new Royal crest graphic featuring a horse and dachshund mirrored symmetrically drawn from Vespa’s archival visuals and reinterpreted in a modern way. The emblem appears on pieces such as a wool varsity jacket, finished with gold embroidery and details that echo both the collection’s regal character and Vespa’s heritage.
