Vietnam- VinFast Auto Ltd., has launches Indonesia’s e-scooter market by signing strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading local dealers. This move marks an important step in VinFast’s international expansion of its electric two-wheeler business and reflects its long-term commitment to one of Southeast Asia’s largest motorcycle markets.
The company has partnered with several experienced Indonesian dealers, including K3, Citra Abadi Sedaya, PT Bevos Auto Mandiri, PT Sapta Jaya, MotorArt, PT Sinergies Dua Kawan, and PT HINU. These partners bring extensive experience in automobile and motorcycle distribution, strong operational capabilities, and deep market knowledge, enabling rapid implementation of VinFast’s standards.
VinFast will initially launch its distribution network in the Jabodetabek area - Indonesia’s largest economic and urban center - in the second quarter of 2026. The company plans to gradually expand its network to cover other regions nationwide.
The product lineup for Indonesia will feature battery-swapping e-scooters, including VinFast Evo, VinFast Feliz II, VinFast Flazz, and VinFast Viper, with additional models planned for the future. These e-scooters are designed to suit Indonesia’s tropical climate, dense traffic conditions, and daily commuting patterns.
VinFast’s strategy in Indonesia focuses on building an integrated ecosystem, combining retail and after-sales networks, financing solutions, and battery-swapping infrastructure in partnership with V-Green and leading financial institutions. The company aims to establish hundreds of authorized dealerships and service centers across the country in 2026.
