VinFast Restructures Vehicle Portfolio and Launches Lac Hong 800S and 900S

Hanoi, Vietnam - VinFast Auto Ltd., an electric vehicle manufacturer, has completed the strategic restructuring of its automotive portfolio into three brand lines and unveiled two new flagship ultra-luxury models, the Lac Hong 800S and Lac Hong 900S. These models expand the Lac Hong ultra-luxury marque, complementing VinFast’s existing VF mass-market passenger vehicle lineup and the Green commercial mobility brand.

VinFast has structured its portfolio into three brand lines: Lac Hong as its ultra-luxury flagship range (now including 900 LX, 900S and 800S), VF as its mass-market passenger EV lineup from VF 3 to VF 9 (including the seven-seat VF MPV 7), and Green for commercial and service mobility models such as Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green and Minio Green.

As part of this strategy, VinFast has unveiled two new ultra-luxury models, the Lac Hong 800S and 900S, expanding the Lac Hong collection alongside the 900 LX, including its advanced armored version introduced in 2025. Inspired by Vietnam’s cultural heritage, the 800S delivers a bold and powerful design, while the 900S emphasizes timeless elegance. Both feature a signature design language with bamboo-inspired grille detailing, the Lac bird emblem, Dong Son and terraced-field motifs, and a gold-plated “Lac Hong” wordmark.

Inside, they offer Nappa leather, rare woods and gold-plated accents, along with advanced tech, safety systems, and luxury features like zero-gravity seats, power-assisted doors and premium entertainment. The 900S adds a privacy partition, starlight headliner, projection system, and an executive workstation. Both models also debut a fully active suspension and offer a tri-motor setup producing up to 460 kW.

The Lac Hong 800S and 900S are scheduled for commercial launch in 2027.
