Bangkok, Thailand- VinFast's D-segment SUV, the VF 8, has earned 5 out of 6 top safety awards from the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia (ASEAN NCAP) in Thailand. These prestigious awards from ASEAN NCAP demonstrate VinFast's commitment to its customer-centric philosophy by delivering a safe and electrified mobility experience.
VinFast VF8 won five awards at the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards, including "Best Child Occupant Protection," "Best Safety Assist," "Best Overall," "Best Motorcyclist Safety," and "Best SUV." Competing against 15 major automakers in ASEAN, VinFast excelled across categories, showcasing its strong dedication to safety. ASEAN NCAP recognized the VF 8 with the “Best Child Occupant Protection” award. The VF 8 achieved maximum scores on frontal and side impacts.
The VF8 dominated the "Best Safety Assist" category, earning the top spot. With its notable safety attributes including Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), and Lane Departure Warning (LDW), the VF 8 continues to impress.
VinFast's debut model achieved top scores in "Best Overall" and "Best Motorcyclist Safety" categories. Its success can be attributed to outstanding performances in features such as AEB and Blind Spot Detection (BSD). The Advanced Safety Assist Technologies received a perfect rating per ASEAN NCAP standards.
Additionally, the VF8's comprehensive design, boasting features like Automatic High Beam (AHB) and BSD, was instrumental in securing its title as the "Best SUV" at the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards.
