Rice, Minnesota – Virnig Manufacturing., a skid steer and compact loader attachments manufacturer, has redesigned its Power Rake attachment with improved torque, reduced maintenance requirements, and enhanced durability for soil preparation and site finishing applications.

The updated Power Rake features a more compact design, improved control, and two motor options to suit different operating conditions. Available in 72-inch, 84-inch, and 90-inch working widths, the attachment is compatible with skid steers and compact track loaders weighing more than 1,500 pounds and delivering 15–25 GPM hydraulic flow.

Virnig now offers two Eaton direct-drive motor options. The High Torque motor is designed for compacted gravel, hard soil, and driveway preparation, while the new High Speed motor delivers faster drum speeds for lighter soils and increased productivity during material conditioning.

The redesigned attachment positions the motor closer to the frame and deeper within the drum, creating a smaller profile that allows operators to work closer to trees, fences, and structures while reducing the risk of impact damage.

To improve durability, the Power Rake incorporates a heavy-duty drive adapter and an HD seal protector that helps shield the motor shaft from dirt and debris. The attachment also features a flat-free wheel system with ½-inch height adjustment increments, flip-up wheel arms for easier transport, and a 22-degree floating design that automatically follows terrain contours while maintaining consistent down pressure.

According to Virnig, the redesigned Power Rake delivers greater versatility, improved performance, and lower maintenance costs for contractors working in landscaping, site preparation, and soil conditioning applications.
