Visteon announces the opening of its new Global Capability Center in Kolkata by January 2025, reinforcing its commitment to India’s automotive technology sector.

Kolkata - Visteon Corporation., an automotive technology Company, has announced the opening of its new Global Capability Center (GCC) in Kolkata, India. Set to begin operations by January 2025, the center highlights Visteon’s commitment to harnessing India’s growing role in global automotive technology development.
The inauguration was attended by key dignitaries from the Government of West Bengal, industry leaders, and Visteon’s India and global leadership, including President and CEO, Mr. Sachin Lawande.
Strategically located in Kolkata, with access to top engineering colleges and a strong talent pool, the center will initially employ 300 engineers by 2026, expanding to 500+ in 2-3 years. Specializing in Android-based infotainment, autonomous solutions, cybersecurity, multimedia, and cloud technologies, it will become a Center of Excellence focused on infotainment and cockpit software development.

The Kolkata center, a USGBC LEED Platinum-certified facility with solar panels and water recycling, highlights Visteon’s focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. India plays a key role in Visteon’s global operations, with advanced technical centers across the country driving innovations in connected car technology. To maintain a strong talent pipeline, Visteon is enhancing its early career programs and partnering with top universities.
