Saray Mah, İstanbul Turkey- Renault Trucks continues to support Volkan Transport, headquartered in Bursa, as the company further strengthens its European logistics network through operations in Hungary and Türkiye. After beginning its activities in Hungary in 2017 and relocating to Türkiye in 2020, Volkan Transport has expanded its logistics presence across Europe, particularly in Eastern Europe. Encouraged by the strong performance of the Renault Trucks tractor units previously operated in Hungary, the company has now continued its investment in Türkiye with new Renault Trucks T480 models.

Active primarily on routes connecting Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia, Volkan Transport has built a solid position in international transport, especially in Eastern Europe. The company has achieved steady growth through long-term partnerships with contracted customers, with nearly 95% of its cargo operations dedicated to the automotive sector.

The latest vehicle handover was carried out by İsmail Alkan, Branch Manager of Koçaslanlar Otomotiv Orhanlı Plaza. Commenting on the company’s fleet expansion, Volkan Muhtaroğlu, Chairman of the Board of Volkan Transport, said that their earlier experience with Renault Trucks in Hungary played a major role in shaping their latest investment decision in Türkiye. He noted that the vehicles had delivered strong results in fuel consumption, total cost of ownership, and overall operational efficiency.

Volkan Transport’s earlier Renault Trucks units in Hungary have already logged between 850,000 and 900,000 kilometres with the support of regular maintenance. Their sustained performance over such high mileage has further strengthened the company’s trust in the brand and its long-term value proposition.

For the new investment, Volkan Transport selected the Renault Trucks T480, a model recognised for its fuel efficiency in long-haul operations. Muhtaroğlu highlighted that fuel economy remains the most important factor in vehicle selection and said the performance advantages of the T480 were central to the company’s decision.

Even as the logistics sector faces mounting pressure from global uncertainties and rising operating costs, Volkan Transport is continuing its investment strategy. With fuel price volatility making cost control more important than ever, the company is focusing on efficiency-driven fleet upgrades to support sustainable growth and maintain competitiveness in the European transport market.
