Volkswagen India introduces the Virtus GT Line and GT Plus Sport variants

Mumbai-  Volkswagen India., has launched the much-anticipated Virtus GT Line and Virtus GT Plus Sport, showcasing a stylish new design that aligns with customer aspirations. Additionally, an enhanced feature package for the Taigun GT Line and a new Highline Plus variant for both India 2.0 car lines have been introduced.

Volkswagen continues to excite sedan style, with the Virtus now ranked as India's No. 1 sedan in its segment. The new Virtus GT Line (6MT) is priced at INR 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Virtus GT Plus Sport (6MT) starts at INR 17.84 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand previously unveiled a black-themed concept of the Virtus at its Annual Brand Conference in March, further enhancing the dynamic identity of this iconic sedan.

Virtus GT Line, making the sporty ‘GT’ badge more accessible to sedan buyers in India. Powered by a 1.0L TSI engine with 6-speed automatic and manual transmission options, the Virtus GT Line features an exciting package that includes an electric sunroof, a 20.32 cm digital cockpit, a 25.65 cm VW Play touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and KESSY keyless entry. Safety is prioritized with standard 6 airbags and a 5-Star GNCAP rating. The exterior showcases blackened LED headlamps, R16 ‘Razor’ black alloy wheels, and signature LED tail lamps, while the interior boasts advanced tech, red ambient lighting, and black leatherette upholstery.

Virtus GT Plus Sport, a sedan designed for customers seeking a blend of exceptional performance and striking design. This model features a 25.65 cm VW Play touchscreen infotainment system with an amplifier and subwoofer, a 20.32 cm digital cockpit, and segment-first electric front seats for both driver and co-driver. Powered by a 1.5L TSI EVO petrol engine, it offers 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG transmission options for blistering performance. Aesthetic enhancements include a red front GT logo, blackened LED headlamps, and R16 ‘Razor’ black alloy wheels. The interior boasts a sleek black design with red stitching, ambient lighting, and black leatherette upholstery, creating an exhilarating experience for drivers and spectators alike.

Enhanced feature package on the Taigun GT Line: With the introduction of a new and more premium feature package on the debutant Virtus GT Line, the Brand has also upgraded the feature package for the Taigun GT Line that now offers features additions such as, 20.32 cm Digital cockpit
Electric sunroof, KESSY - Push button start stop, Alu pedals, Rain sensing wipers, Auto dimming IRVM.

Highline Plus variant for the Taigun and Virtus, powered by a 1.0L TSI petrol engine. Designed to offer great value, the variant starts at INR 13.87 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Virtus Highline Plus (MT) and INR 14.26 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Taigun Highline Plus (MT). Key features include a 20.32 cm digital cockpit, auto-dimming IRVM, KESSY push-button start, electric sunroof, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and coming/going home lights, providing customers with More for Less.

Further, the Taigun Topline and Virtus Topline trims get enhanced value with addition of the Digital sound package with amplifier and subwoofer as standard, offering enhanced entertainment on the go.

Chrome and Sport offer structures for the Taigun and Virtus alongside the launch of the Virtus GT Line and GT Plus Sport. The Chrome structure features a sophisticated and elegant design, while the Sport structure showcases a distinct dark theme aimed at enthusiasts seeking sporty aesthetics. The line structure includes various engine options and trims, Chrome Structure: 1.0L Engine (AT/MT): Topline, Highline Plus, Highline, Comfortline & 1.5L Engine (DSG/MT): GT Plus. And Sport Structure: 1.0L Engine (AT/MT): GT Line, 1.5L Engine (DSG/MT): GT Plus.
