Volvo Buses Secures E-Bus Order from Svealandstrafiken
Volvo Buses will deliver 106 electric buses to Svealandstrafiken for regional and city routes in Sweden starting 2026.

Gothenburg, Sweden- Volvo Buses., a manufacturer of buses and bus chassis, has secured an order from Svealandstrafiken for 106 electric buses to operate in Sweden’s Västmanland and Örebro counties. The initial order included 60 unit of Volvo 8900 Electric buses the first since the model's launch and 13 units of Volvo 7900 Electric Articulated city buses. Svealandstrafiken has now placed an additional call-off for 33 unit more Volvo 7900 Electric Articulated buses.
The Volvo 8900 Electric will serve regional routes in Västmanland and Örebro, with operations set to begin in early 2027. The Volvo 7900 Electric Articulated buses, scheduled for delivery in 2026, will be deployed on city routes in Örebro.

The latest order is not the first time the two partners have worked together – Svealandstrafiken already has 17 Volvo electric buses in operation on urban traffic routes in Västerås.
