Gothenburg, Sweden - Volvo Car AB, a manufacturer of luxury vehicles, has introduced the all-new EX60 in North America for the first time, with its official debut held in New York City. The company has also opened orders for U.S. customers, bringing the electric SUV closer to American buyers. Positioned in a major EV segment, the EX60 offers strong driving range, quick charging, powerful performance, and competitive pricing.

Mr. Luis Rezende, President, Volvo Car Americas, said “The Volvo EX60 delivers on the key needs of American customers and is ideally positioned to play a major role in Volvo’s growth ambitions in the U.S., Backed by nearly 100 years of safety leadership and Scandinavian design heritage, the Volvo EX60 addresses the biggest barriers for U.S. consumers to switch to an EV, delivering the range Americans want, at a competitive price, with fast, simple charging that fits into daily life.”

The Volvo EX60 offers the longest electric range of any fully electric Volvo model so far, helping reduce range anxiety and giving customers more confidence for both daily use and long-distance trips. Through a combination of advanced design, engineering, hardware, and software, the EX60 is built to support city driving, highway travel, and weekend journeys.

The EX60 will be offered in multiple variants. The EX60 P6 delivers up to 307 miles of range, while the EX60 P10 AWD offers up to 322 miles. The upcoming EX60 P12 AWD will provide up to 400 miles of all-electric range on a single charge, enough for a trip from New York City to Montreal without stopping to charge.

Built on Volvo Cars’ latest SPA3 electric platform, the EX60 brings together advanced technologies such as cell-to-body battery integration, next-generation in-house electric motors, a new battery cell design, and megacasting. These innovations improve efficiency, scalability, manufacturing flexibility, and cost optimization, while also helping the EX60 achieve the lowest carbon footprint of any fully electric Volvo to date, matching the smaller EX30.

The SPA3 platform also supports an 800V electric architecture, enabling fast charging. Depending on the variant, the EX60 can add up to 155 to 173 miles of range in just 10 minutes. Charging from 10% to 80% takes around 16 minutes for the P6 and P10 AWD, and around 19 minutes for the P12 AWD. Maximum charging capacity reaches up to 320 kW for the P6 and up to 370 kW for the P10 AWD and P12 AWD.

The EX60 is also the first Volvo model to come with a native North American Charging Standard port. This allows customers to access more than 29,000 Tesla Supercharger stations across North America without needing an adapter.

Safety remains central to the EX60. The vehicle is engineered to exceed many regulatory and rating requirements under the Volvo Cars Safety Standard. Its advanced computing system, HuginCore, works with a wide range of sensors to monitor the surroundings and support safer driving. By combining Volvo’s in-house electrical architecture, core computing, zone controllers, and software, HuginCore makes the EX60 a software-defined vehicle with regular over-the-air update capability.

The EX60 will also be the first Volvo car to launch with Gemini, Google’s new AI assistant. Integrated into the vehicle, Gemini allows drivers to manage tasks through natural conversations, reducing the need to use the central display and helping them stay focused on the road.

With HuginCore’s onboard computing power, the EX60 will introduce Volvo Cars’ award-winning multi-adaptive safety belt. This world-first technology provides smarter and more personalized protection for front-row occupants. The vehicle also features a boron steel-reinforced safety cage and advanced restraint systems designed to enhance occupant protection.
