Volvo Trucks secured one of its largest deals ever, with the Italian transport and logistics company Lannutti Group ordering 1,500 Volvo FH Aero trucks to renew its long-haul fleet.

Gothenburg, Sweden- Volvo Trucks., has secured one of its largest deals ever with an order for 1,500 units of Volvo FH Aero trucks from Lannutti Group., the Italian transport and logistics company, which operates over 2,500 trucks across eight European countries, is renewing its long-haul fleet. The new trucks come with Volvo’s advanced Camera Monitor System, enhancing both aerodynamics and safety by replacing traditional mirrors.
Mr. Valter Lannutti, CEO at Lannutti Group, said, “The fleet renewal principle for us at Lannutti Group is to prioritize low emission vehicles while offering a high level of comfort and safety to our drivers, protecting them and all the other road users. In addition to the fuel saving I-Save technology already 100% adopted in the fleet we are now aiming to grasp the benefits coming from the Camera Monitor System and improved aerodynamic design. This partnership with Volvo will allow us to continue our journey towards zero emissions.”
The majority of the trucks ordered by Lannutti will be powered by HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), a fuel that can be produced from waste products, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 90 percent.

The Volvo FH Aero is designed with a focus on fuel efficiency and safety. Its new aerodynamic cab design improves fuel efficiency by up to 5%. The Camera Monitor System enhances road safety and driver visibility, even in dark and rainy conditions. Combined with Volvo’s I-Save powertrain technology, the FH Aero significantly reduces CO2 emissions and running costs. It also features new interior enhancements for driver comfort and connected services for fleet management. The FH Aero comes in four variants: FH Aero, FH Aero Electric, FH Aero gas-powered, and FH16 Aero. Lannutti Group will receive 1,500 new Volvo trucks in 2024 and 2025.
