      New Delhi - Volvo Group India Private Limited., a luxury vehicles manufacturer, has launched the new XC90, an advanced version of its flagship SUV, elevating luxury, technology, and safety. Launched at the Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi, the event was attended by His Excellency Jan Thesleff, Ambassador of Sweden to India, and Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director of Volvo Car India.

      The updated XC90 features a refreshed exterior with a new grille, redesigned bumper, sculpted hood, 20-inch wheels, and a new Mulberry Red color. It boasts slim T-shaped Matrix LED headlights and an advanced comfort chassis with FSD damper technology. Inside, it offers refined upholstery, an updated center console, a larger 11.2-inch infotainment screen, enhanced Bowers & Wilkins speakers, new air vents, upgraded lighting, improved wireless charging, and an advanced 360° camera.

      The XC90 B5 Ultra (Petrol Mild-Hybrid) features a 1969 cc engine with 250 hp, 360 Nm torque, and an 8-speed AWD transmission. It offers an advanced air quality system, Android-powered infotainment with wired Apple CarPlay, and a 1410W Bowers & Wilkins sound system. Safety highlights include Adaptive Cruise Control, Pilot Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Collision Mitigation, and a 360° camera. Luxury touches include ventilated massage seats, Nappa leather upholstery, and air suspension.

      Mr. Jan Thesleff, Ambassador of Sweden, said, “The new Volvo XC90 is a testament to Sweden’s dedication to technological advancement and design. Volvo’s growing presence in India reinforces the trust consumers place in Swedish quality and safety.”

The vehicle embodies Swedish luxury and innovation, delivering an unmatched blend of comfort, spaciousness, versatility, and efficiency. The latest exterior updates further enhance its commanding road presence.”

      The new XC90 upholds Volvo’s safety legacy with a high-strength safety cage and advanced driver aids like lane-keeping assist, run-off road mitigation, and collision avoidance for vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and large animals. Its upgraded suspension with adaptive dampers enhances ride comfort, while the optional air suspension adjusts ride height for aerodynamics or off-road performance. Improved insulation ensures a quieter cabin.
