Shah Alam, Malaysia - Volvo Car Corporation., a luxury vehicles company, has opened bookings for the locally assembled (CKD) EX30, following the success of fully imported (CBU) units launched in September 2024. The EX30 highlights Volvo’s commitment to providing sustainable, safe, and innovative mobility solutions for the Malaysian market.
The locally assembled 2025 Volvo EX30 will be offered in two variants: Ultra and Ultra Twin Performance. Prices start at RM208,888 for the Ultra and RM228,888 for the Ultra Twin Performance. It will be available in three colors: Cloud Blue, Vapour Grey, and Crystal White. The first deliveries are expected in the second week of January 2025, marking the EX30 as a significant addition to Malaysia's electric vehicle market.
The Volvo EX30 offers two powertrains: the Ultra variant with a single motor producing 272PS and 343Nm, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, and the Ultra Twin Performance with a dual-motor setup delivering 428PS and 543Nm, reaching 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. Both variants feature a 69-kWh battery, with ranges of up to 476 km (WLTP) for the single motor and 450 km for the twin motor. Fast-charging takes 28 minutes from 10% to 80% with a 175 kW DC charger.
The EX30 also boasts Google Built-In, an upgraded Pilot Assist system, 360° environmental awareness, automatic parking with Park Pilot Assist, and a premium Harman Kardon soundbar, ensuring a luxurious and safe driving experience.
Volvo Car Malaysia offers extensive after-sales support for EX30 owners, including the Volvo Car Service Plan (VSP), which covers essential services for up to five years or 100,000 km. The plan also includes wear-and-tear items and a five-year roadside assistance program. The EX30 comes with a five-year/unlimited-mileage vehicle warranty and an eight-year/160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty, ensuring free repairs or replacements if battery capacity drops below 70%.
