Volvo Secures Electric Truck Order from PreZero
Volvo secures an order for 35 electric trucks from PreZero, enhancing urban sustainability with zero-emission, low-noise vehicles for waste management.

Gothenburg, Sweden- AB Volvo., has received an order for 35 battery-electric trucks from Prezero Stiftung & Co. Kg., a waste management and recycling company. The majority 24 units are Volvo FM Low Entry, the first model Volvo developed exclusively for electric drive, tailored for safe, efficient urban transport. The remaining trucks include 10 FM Electric and one FL Electric.
This move follows PreZero Sweden’s adoption of its first Volvo electric truck in 2022 and comes alongside new charging infrastructure investments in Stockholm. The electric trucks offer quiet, zero-emission operations, ideal for dense urban areas.
All vehicles are equipped with Volvo Dynamic Steering and camera-equipped side mirrors to enhance driver comfort, safety, and visibility. Volvo’s strategy toward net-zero emissions by 2040 includes battery-electric, fuel cell-electric, and renewable-fuel combustion technologies.
Mr. Stefan Strand, Managing Director of Volvo Trucks Sweden, said, “We are very happy and proud of the trust that PreZero puts in Volvo Trucks with this order for more battery-electric trucks from us. The order for 35 electric trucks is the largest to date in the recycling industry in Sweden. PreZero is truly leading the way by converting its transport to zero exhaust emissions.”
