Date: May 22, 2023Gothenburg, Sweden- Volvo trucks AB., of Sweden has signed an letter of intent to sell 1000 electric trucks to Holcim, a Swedish building material company. Volvo has agreed to supply the numbers by the year 2030.
Holcim plans to deploy electric trucks for its operation by replacing the older Volvo FH diesel trucks with Volvo’s electric FH and FM variants to markets including France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK during the fourth quarter of 2023 and throughout 2024.
By this initiative, both the companies estimate to reduce emission of 50,000 tones of CO2 every year.
