Gothenburg (Göteborg), Sweden- Volvo Trucks has received an order for 400 all-new Volvo VNL 860 sleeper trucks from Transport Enterprise Leasing, LLC., (TEL) a fleet leasing provider in the United States. The deal is among the biggest Volvo VNL orders in North America to date and highlights the rising demand among major transport operators for trucks that deliver better fuel efficiency, safety, driver comfort, and uptime.

TEL runs one of the largest fleet leasing programs in the U.S., supplying heavy-duty trucks to fleets and owner-operators across North America. Its decision to add 400 Volvo VNL 860 sleepers reflects growing confidence in Volvo’s latest flagship long-haul platform.

Mr. Peter Voorhoeve, President of Volvo Trucks North America, said the large order demonstrates the trust fleets place in the all-new Volvo VNL. He noted that one year after production began, the truck is already showing strong real-world results in fuel economy, safety, and driver comfort. He added that the delivery of 400 Volvo VNL 860 sleepers through TEL’s leasing network will help bring a premium long-haul driving experience to operators across North America.

The all-new Volvo VNL offers up to 10% better fuel efficiency compared with the previous model, thanks to improved aerodynamics and refined powertrain technology. Production started in the fourth quarter of 2024 at Volvo’s manufacturing facility in Dublin, Virginia, and around 15,000 units are now operating commercially across the U.S. and Canada.
