New Delhi – VST Tillers Tractors Ltd., a tractors manufacturer, has introduced its first EV Power Tiller and EV Power Weeder at the ninth EIMA Agrimach India, marking its entry into electric farm machinery aimed at sustainable small farm mechanisation.
The electric models were unveiled by S. Rukmani from the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. Built for simplified operation and lower running costs, the products reinforce VST’s commitment to eco-friendly agricultural solutions. Both machines have been engineered and manufactured in-house at the company’s advanced facilities.
VST’s expansion into electric machinery draws on its experience in supplying drivetrain components to international electric tractor manufacturers. This expertise is now being channelled into indigenous electric solutions designed for the needs of Indian smallholder farmers.
At EIMA Agrimach 2025, VST also displayed its Electric Start Power Tillers in 13 HP and 16 HP variants, the Ranger series weeders with crop-specific attachments, a maize reaper, portable power engines, and the VST Zetor 50 HP tractor model. In FY25, the company sold 37,297 power tillers, up from 36,480 in FY24, further strengthening its leadership in the segment.
The launch of EV tillers and weeders marks a significant step in VST’s product evolution, aiming to deliver efficient and sustainable mechanisation to farmers in India and beyond.
