Bengaluru - VST Tillers Tractors Ltd., a power tillers and tractors manufacturer, has released its sales report for May 2025, showcasing a notable surge in overall performance, largely fueled by an impressive rise in power tiller sales. However, tractor sales experienced a modest year-on-year decline.
In May 2025, VST sold a total of 3,486 units, marking a significant 40.90% increase compared to the 2,474 units sold during the same month last year.
The standout performer was the power tiller segment, which saw sales jump to 3,047 units, up by 54.05% from 1,978 units sold in May 2024. This reflects a strong demand in the agricultural mechanization sector, particularly for compact and efficient tilling equipment.
Conversely, tractor sales dipped slightly, with 439 units sold in May 2025, representing a 11.49% decrease compared to 496 units sold in May 2024.
For the current financial year to date, VST has maintained a robust growth trajectory. Power tiller sales have soared by 70.55%, reaching 5,050 units as compared to 2,961 units in the same period last year. Meanwhile, tractor sales registered a modest gain of 7.39%, totaling 756 units, up from 704 units during the corresponding period in 2024.
As a result, VST's total YTD sales climbed to 5,806 units, a 58.41% increase from the 3,665 units recorded in the previous year.
The sales data for May 2025 and the year-to-date figures reflect VST’s growing dominance in the power tiller market, even as the tractor segment sees short-term fluctuations. With sustained demand and strategic market positioning, VST appears well-poised to capitalize on the increasing mechanization trends in Indian agriculture.
