Bengaluru - VST Tillers & Tractors., a tractor manufacturer, has reported a sharp rise in sales for January 2026, achieving total sales of 5,257 units compared to 3,416 units in January 2025. The performance reflects a robust year-on-year growth of 53.9%, driven largely by strong demand for power tillers.
Power tiller sales dominated the company’s monthly volumes, reaching 4,810 units in January 2026, up from 3,105 units in the same month last year. This marks a significant growth of 54.9%, reinforcing the segment’s position as the primary contributor to VST’s overall sales.
Tractor sales also recorded healthy growth during the month. The company sold 447 tractors in January 2026, compared to 311 units a year earlier, representing an increase of 43.7%. Although smaller in volume than power tillers, the tractor segment continues to show steady expansion.
For the year-to-date period from April 2025 to January 2026, VST posted total combined sales of 46,868 units, a notable rise from 31,432 units recorded during the corresponding period last year. This translates to an overall growth of 49.1%, highlighting sustained momentum across product categories.
Power tillers remained the key growth driver during the period, with sales climbing to 42,184 units from 27,124 units, reflecting a strong 55.5% increase. Meanwhile, tractor sales grew at a more moderate pace, reaching 4,684 units compared to 4,308 units in the previous year, registering an 8.7% improvement.
The latest sales figures underscore VST’s strengthening market position and rising mechanization demand in the agricultural sector. Continued growth in power tiller adoption, along with steady tractor sales, signals positive momentum for the company as it progresses through the financial year.
