Xuzhou, China – Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co., Ltd. (XCMG)., a heavy equipment manufacturer, has hosted the Global Mining Summit on Zero Carbon Smart Solutions, bringing together more than 200 contractors and industry leaders from over 30 countries to advance sustainable mining practices and technologies.
The summit highlighted green and intelligent mining development, with XCMG showcasing its integrated equipment sets, real-world applications, and one-stop service offerings. Discussions centered on tackling industry challenges while accelerating the transition to zero-carbon, safe, and cost-efficient operations.
At the Yimin open pit mine, XCMG demonstrated its full-chain zero-carbon smart mining solutions, including:
- The ZNK95 pure-electric unmanned mining truck, achieving driverless, all-electric operations.
- A multi-equipment collaborative system that coordinates sprinklers, loaders, graders, and pickup trucks to boost site efficiency.
- A comprehensive new energy portfolio, covering drilling, excavation, hauling, crushing, and auxiliary functions, supported by wind-solar-storage-charging infrastructure.
During the event, XCMG and 107 companies from 26 countries signed the Joint Declaration on Global Zero-Carbon Smart Mining. The declaration outlines commitments across 12 areas, including electrification, automation, net-zero emissions, circular economy practices, international cooperation, and smart operation and maintenance.
