The standout feature of the 2025 FZ-X is Yamaha’s Hybrid Engine System, which includes Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop & Start System (SSS) technologies. These features enable smoother engine starts, battery-assisted acceleration, and better fuel efficiency by automatically turning off the engine during idling and restarting with a simple clutch engagement.
Enhancing connectivity, the FZ-X Hybrid comes with a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster that pairs seamlessly with smartphones via the Y-Connect app. The integrated TBT navigation, powered by Google Maps, delivers real-time route guidance, intersection alerts, and street name updates, ensuring a stress-free ride.
For riders seeking a more affordable option, Yamaha will continue to offer the standard (non-hybrid) available in Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black.
True to its neo-retro styling, the FZ-X features a robust metal body, updated with the iconic ‘Yamaha’ tank logo, and a powerful 149cc air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. The bike produces 12.4 PS of peak power at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, offering strong acceleration and agility.
Safety and comfort are further enhanced with features like Traction Control System (TCS), single-channel ABS, telescopic front forks, 7-step adjustable Monocross rear suspension, and a two-level seat with a slip-resistant tuck-and-roll design, ideal for longer journeys.
With this launch, Yamaha aims to deliver a stylish, high-performance motorcycle that combines smart features with rider-friendly practicality—redefining value in the 150cc commuter segment.
