Fukuoka, Japan- Yanmar Compact Equipment (Yanmar CE) has appointed Mr. Jon Lopez as the new President of its EMEA region, effective November 1, 2024. Lopez will focus on driving strategic growth and operational excellence across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
With over 20 years of international experience, Jon Lopez joins Yanmar CE from his previous role as Senior VP at HIAB. His background spans construction equipment, steel, automotive parts, and energy, bringing expertise in operations, business development, marketing, project management, and supply chain to advance Yanmar CE’s goals in EMEA.

Born in Bilbao, Spain, Jon Lopez is an industrial engineer with a master’s in Lean Manufacturing from Knoxville University (USA) and an Executive Program in General Management from IESE Business School. He has lived and worked in China, Brazil, Poland, Sweden, Denmark, and Ireland, gaining expertise in cross-cultural collaboration and performance management. Reporting to CEO José Cuadrado, Lopez joins the CE Executive Leadership Team to drive Yanmar CE.
