Osaka, Japan - YANMAR Holding Co., Ltd., an agricultural machinery company, has previewed its new SV60-6B mini excavator for the North American market. The 5.7-metric-ton machine, first launched in Europe, was showcased at ConExpo 2026 and is expected to arrive in the region soon.
The SV60-6B is positioned as a 6-ton class excavator designed to deliver larger-machine performance in a compact and maneuverable package. Unlike Yanmar’s Vi055-6A zero-tail-swing model, the SV60-6B features a conventional tail swing and weighs around 200 pounds more.
Yanmar says the excavator offers a spacious cab similar to an 8-metric-ton machine, with improved legroom and operator comfort. Visibility is supported by large glass panels, a roof window, three mirrors and a standard rearview camera.
The machine is designed for construction, land management, utility installation, landscaping and demolition applications. It is equipped with four hydraulic pumps delivering up to 36.8 gallons per minute of flow, allowing operators to perform multiple functions while traveling and improving cycle times, breakout force and overall operating performance.
