Haryana - Yokohama India Pvt. Ltd., a tire manufacturer, has commenced production of 20-inch tyres at its Bahadurgarh facility in Haryana. This move is aimed at catering to the growing demand from the SUV and premium vehicle segments, reinforcing the company's commitment to providing high-performance tyres for evolving market needs.
The expansion includes the Geolandar X-CV (G057), a high-performance tyre designed for luxury SUVs. Engineered with an asymmetric tread pattern, advanced silica compounds, and a robust 2-ply sidewall, it enhances grip, ensures a smoother ride, and improves durability. This move follows Yokohama’s recent localization of 19-inch tyre production, further strengthening its commitment to meeting evolving market demands in India.
The increasing demand for larger tyres in India is driven by the growing popularity of SUVs and premium vehicles. In response, Yokohama India has ramped up local production to cater to this market shift. The company ensures wide availability by distributing its tyres through a strong network of over 3,000 retailers across the country.
Yokohama India has affirmed its capability to manufacture tyres up to 24 inches, positioning itself to meet the growing demand for larger sizes. With a strong focus on innovation and quality, the company continues to develop high-performance tyres tailored for the premium vehicle segment.
